Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum

On Sunday August 29 family and friends of Mr. Albert Wallace gathered at the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum for a very special day. The Toronto Chapter of the CAHS has selected Mr. Wallace to take this commemorative flight in the museum Avro Lancaster not only on behalf of his fellow RCAF veterans, but to represent all the Sunnybrook volunteers with whom he continues to serve at age 95

Mr. Albert R. Wallace was an air gunner in the RCAF's #419 Squadron, and his Halifax II Bomber, (JB791, VR-X), was shot down on May 12-13 1943 over Germany.  He was captured and spent almost two years as a prisoner of war
