Hawkefiel Fly-In  Orono

Hawkefield is a beautiful private aerodrome on Concession Road 7, north of Orono.  The 1,006 metre (3,300 feet) long grass runway is situated in a rural setting amongst trees and farmer’s fields.

Every year in September Hannu and Karen Halminen, owners of Hawkefield host the Barnyard Fly-In event. A very friendly gathering of pilots and enthusiasts and all types of aircraft including amateur built, certified and ultralights. The Hawkefield fly-in is considered one of the best grass roots event in Ontario.
