The ACM (ACER Cold War Museum) L-29 Delfin
I had the opportunity to do an Air to Air photo section with one of the ACM L-29 Delfin. It was an extraordinary day for me an all the people involved in this adventure. Special thank you to Mike Bourget, Peter Scott, Bernie Runstedler and Ingrid Kutzner.
The Aero L-29 Delfín is a military jet trainer aircraft that became the standard jet trainer for the air forces of Warsaw Pact nations in the 1960s. It was Czechoslovakia’s first locally designed and built jet aircraft. Production began April 1963 and continued for 11 years, with 3,600 eventually built until 1974. Both of ACM's aircraft are ex-Bulgarian Airforce.
The ACM (ACER Cold War Museum) is a non-profit corporation founded to promote, collect, document, and operate various types of aircraft and vehicles originating in both current and former Communist Bloc nations.
