Canadian Harvard Aircraft Association Open House
Once again CHAA’s Fly Day Open House was a huge success. Although the weather was dark and gloomy, it was not enough to deter the visitors. The event was a great opportunity to learn about the Second World War trainers, honoring the memory of those who served and continue to serve in the RCAF, and the volunteers that keep the vintage aircraft in flying condition.
Claresholm, Alberta, August 3rd, 1954. An 18 years old flight cadet named Bill Long strapped into Harvard 20242 for his first ever flight to begin his Air Force career. 63 years later, Bill strapped into the very same aircraft for what may be the final flight of his very long distinguished career.
