Girls Can Fly

Waterloo Wellington Flight Centre was delighted to once again host its annual Girls Can Fly event on Saturday, May 13, from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm at their facility, located at the Region of Waterloo International Airport. The Girls Can Fly event was established with the aim of promoting the aviation industry to girls and young women. The event featured exhibitors from the industry who provided an interactive and engaging experience for attendees of all ages.

This year, there were some exciting additions to the event. Sunwing Airlines brought a Boeing 737 aircraft, accompanied by a team of pilots and crew. Porter Airlines opened up their Q400 plane for public tours, and Jazz showcased a CRJ900 aircraft along with their team. Additionally, Pilots4Paws, an organization dedicated to the welfare of dogs needing rehoming and medical attention, was present with some furry friends to promote their work.

We would like to express our special thanks to all the volunteers, Waterloo Wellington Flight Centre, COPA Breslau Flyers Flight 26, Great Lakes Helicopter, and all the exhibitors who made this event possible.
