On September 6th, family and friends gathered at Flamborough Airfield to celebrate a significant milestone in Brian Kenney’s life.
Brian, an accomplished pilot, had reached an impressive 1000 hours of flying time in his beloved C-FAUK Pietenpol B4A Aircamper.
The weather on that evening posed a challenge to Brian’s achievement. He needed just over 5 more minutes of flying time to reach the coveted 1000-hour mark. Fortunately, a small window of opportunity in the weather presented itself, and Brian seized the moment, taking his Pietenpol aircraft with his wife, Hope, seated in the front.
Upon safely returning to the ground after his successful flight, the proud aviator was warmly greeted by all his friends. A cake was prepared to mark this special occasion, and Brian was encouraged to share his flying experiences.
The celebration extended well into the late evening, accompanied by a delicious BBQ. We extend our special thanks to Brian and Hope for hosting this unforgettable event and express our gratitude to all the friends who came to commemorate this remarkable day.
