On March 15th, the Waterloo Wellington Flight Centre (WWFC) celebrated their annual Wings Banquet at the Delta Hotels by Marriott Guelph Conference Centre.
With 320 people in attendance, including recipients, industry professionals, regional partners, educational collaborators, WWFC staff, and guests, this year’s event was a resounding success. The WWFC continued its tradition of hosting a networking event before dinner, allowing students to engage with airline representatives and explore future opportunities. A heartfelt thank you goes out to Air Canada, Jazz, Porter, Sunwing, and WestJet for their participation.
The evening was filled with exciting moments, including Wings presentations, license & ratings presentations, and awards from Conestoga College, Porter Airlines, Jazz Aviation, Private Air, Sunwing Airlines, and WestJet. Additionally, the LIFT Scholarship winners, WWFC Alumni of Distinction Award recipient, and Highest Scoring awardees were recognized. The attendees were privileged to hear from keynote speaker Reneé Tremblay, a Citation Excel First Officer at Private Air and a proud WWFC alumnus, who shared her remarkable journey and valuable advice for aspiring pilots.
