Girls Take Flight Oshawa

Sunday, April 27, was a day of wonder and adventure at Oshawa Executive Airport, where Girls Take Flight Oshawa welcomed girls and women aged eight and older for an introduction to aviation. Hosted by the First Canadian Chapter of the Ninety-Nines and Durham Flight Centre, the event aimed to inspire participants to consider careers in aviation and aerospace.

The weather brought sunny skies and gusty winds, setting the stage for 122 attendees to take their first-ever flight in a small aircraft. They returned with wide smiles and bright eyes, eager to share how much they enjoyed the unique experience. Many expressed heartfelt appreciation, describing their flights as unforgettable experiences that they would always cherish. The event successfully opened doors to new opportunities and sparked an enduring passion for the world of aviation.

The day’s success was made possible by the vision and dedication of the organizers, who brought this incredible event to life. Their hard work and commitment have transformed Girls Take Flight into an inspiring initiative for all who participated.
