The skies were clear and the sun was shining as families and aviation fans gathered at Guelph AirPark (CNC4) on Sunday, June 15 for the annual Shiny Side Up Rendezvous. Hosted by COPA Flight 1 Guelph, this much-loved Father’s Day tradition welcomed visitors from near and far for a full day of fun from 9 am to 4 pm.
Admission was free, with donations kindly accepted to support the Canadian Owners and Pilots Association. Guests arrived by both air and road, and the AirPark was full of energy all day long.
There were flying machines of all kinds on display, from vintage aircraft to newer planes. On the ground, guests could check out classic cars, hot rods and motorcycles. One of the highlights was the chance to take a ride in an open cockpit biplane, giving folks an exciting view of the countryside from above.
With beautiful weather and a large crowd, the Shiny Side Up Rendezvous once again brought joy to people of all ages. Whether you came for the planes, the cars or simply to enjoy a good day out, it was an event to remember.
