Huronia COPA Fly-In

Saturday, July 12 turned out to be the perfect day for the Huronia COPA Fly-In at Huronia Municipal Airport (YEE). The event ran from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm and offered free admission and parking, drawing a lovely mix of families, aviation fans, and curious visitors.

Even with the forecast calling for a possible thunderstorm, the rain stayed away. Instead, the sun came out in full force, making for a hot and humid day filled with great conversations and summer smiles.

Guests were treated to a display of vintage cars and many unique general aviation aircraft. One of the stars of the show was the 1943 Fairchild PT-26A Cornell from Edenvale Classic Aircraft Foundation. The aircraft was offering rides all day and had plenty of happy passengers lining up to take to the skies.

The BBQ stand was busy too, serving up delicious food and cold drinks for purchase. People gathered in the shade to relax, chat, and enjoy the cheerful atmosphere.

All in all, it was a fantastic turnout. The Huronia COPA Fly-In brought together a wonderful crowd and celebrated the joy of flight in a welcoming and laid-back way.

A big thank you to Huronia COPA for organizing this special annual event, and to all the volunteers who helped make the day run smoothly and fun.
